Cheah Kok Hoong

Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn Bhd | Group Chief Executive Officer / Director

Cheah Kok Hoong is the Group CEO & Director for Hitachi Sunway Information Systems - a joint venture between Hitachi Systems, Ltd. and Sunway Technology Sdn Bhd to provide ICT solutions and services in ASEAN.

Fearless and confident throughout his career, Cheah often pushed himself beyond his comfort level to do great things. He carries multiple roles concurrently in the commercial and industry sectors.

As the Chairman of Outsourcing Malaysia, Cheah leads and manages a variety of initiatives aimed at growing and nurturing the growth of the Shared Services & Outsourcing industry in Malaysia. He is instrumental in driving the growth of the Malaysian ICT industry, both locally and regionally. And, he plays an active role in developing the next generation of talents for Malaysia. Cheah is a person who is able to influence the industry and he is actively involved in the country's IT industry developments and continually propagates the advancement of the overall IT capabilities and resources within the diverse local verticals.

With more than 25 years’ experience, he is driven by an endless quest to seek knowledge and has thus garnered a wealth of expertise that spans across business development, M&A, business strategy and process engineering, industry development and services globalization, policy development, IT strategic planning, regional operations and support across both manufacturing, the services sectors and others.

The other major working professional positions that Cheah carries include being the IT Advisor of Sunway Group, Director of Hitachi Systems Digital Services, Director of Powerware Systems, Chairman of Human Capital Development Chapter (PIKOM) and Advisor of PIKOM.

Cheah was inducted into the 2016 PLC Hall of Fame for leadership and stewardship in promoting the PLC Leadership programme as part of the National ICT Certification & Standardization Grid (NICS Competence Grid). In 2010, he was conferred PIKOM’s CIO Excellence Award for his outstanding leadership and for being instrumental in the ICT adoption in the Sunway Group.

Academically, Cheah holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Physics from Campbell University, USA.

Anthony Raja Devadoss, SHRM-CP, SPHRi

Anthony Raja Devadoss is Managing Director & Regional Head of PERSOLKELLY Consulting, a specialist consulting practice and a part of PERSOLKELLY in Asia Pacific. Devadoss is responsible for the Consulting business services operations in Asia Pacific, leading the growth of the company’s main business practices which includes the HR Business Services, HR Certifications, Talent Management Technology, Career Transition Solutions, Executive Coaching & Leadership Development.

Having been with the PERSOLKELLY Group since 2001, Devadoss brings 20 years of experience in the HR Business Services, Talent & Technology sector spanning across industries related to outsourcing and consulting. Devadoss was previously based both in India and Malaysia, serving in leadership roles.

Devadoss is the current Deputy Chairman of Outsourcing Malaysia (a chapter under The National ICT Association of Malaysia, PIKOM) and HR Committee member of PIKOM. He is actively involved in the country's and region’s HR & Technology industry development and holds memberships in various local and international associations including the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Devadoss is a Global Board Member of the Career Partners International, a leading Career Management organization worldwide.

Devadoss holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from MUM, US majoring in Marketing and Management Information Systems. Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Loyola College, India & Post Graduate Diploma in Computing from DMU, UK. He is also a Senior Certified Professional with Society of Human Resource Management SHRM-SCP, Senior Professional in Human Resources – International SPHRi – HRCI, USA, Certified Facilitator for Manager as Coach Learning Series™, and Certified Career Transition Consultant & Certified Life Options Retirement Coach from CPI. He recently attended the Global Leadership Program by INSEAD Business School.

Pattabhiraman Muthukumaraswamy

Pattabhiraman has over 24 years of diversified experience in operations, processing and strategic management in global banks and in the management of large Shared Service engagements across Asia.

He is currently the Executive Director of UOB Centre of Excellence (M) Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UOB Bank. In this role, he is responsible to drive business transformation to the next level while focusing on process reengineering, operational efficiency to ensure costs are effectively managed whilst ensuring customer delight. His experience spans effective global delivery management, competence growth and process initiatives, proactively nurturing key alliances and leveraging business partnerships, while focusing on developing the right talent across Asia. Pattabhiraman is also very active in developing and contributing to the growth of the Shared Service industry in Malaysia, enabling the industry to transform itself into a knowledge economy through development of competencies and transforming the industry players to drive global best practices, remaining relevant and competitive.

Prior to joining UOB, Pattabhiraman worked with HSBC and held strategic roles spanning his career with them to deliver global best in class service and an effective off-shoring model. He has worked in India, Sri Lanka, Brunei & UK, holding Senior Management positions with HSBC Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. This vast exposure enables him to manage and provide solutions in global and diverse situations, with an expertise focusing on world-class performance, especially in that of the Shared Services outsourcing industry.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management and has attended key leadership programs held by Duke Corporate Education (UK) and Process Design for Six Sigma by BMG.

Raymond Devadass

Raymond Devadass is the Chief Executive Officer at Daythree Business Services Sdn Bhd. Raymond specializes in providing Strategic Management direction, particularly in the field of IT Strategy and Management, to assist organizations in managing their IT/IS investments for strategic outcomes. He has guided several technology companies from ‘start-up’ to becoming leading technology players in the industry. Amongst his many key achievements, Raymond managed one of the largest healthcare informatics implementations in Malaysia and played key role in realizing the IT Outsourcing agenda of a major state government in Malaysia. His organisation, Daythree has been listed as one of the Top 10 RPA Companies of 2017 in APAC by the CIO Advisor Magazine. Having originated from a corporate finance background, Raymond has strong working and practical knowledge in finance, accounting and banking. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Strategy & Planning and is the author of several articles/research papers. Raymond was accorded the Best Thought Leader award at the Outsourcing Malaysia Excellence Awards (OMEA) 2017. 

David Wong Nan Fay

David Wong Nan Fay is a business graduate (Honours) from the Dalhousie University, Canada. He has more than 30 years of track record and experience in the Information Technology and Logistic Industry.

David is currently the Chairman of ASOCIO, the Asian Oceanian Computing Industry Organization and the Advisor and Past Chairman of PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia. David is also the Co-founder and Emeritus Chairman of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), an initiative of PIKOM and a consortium representative of the outsourcing industry.

In 2000, he founded and embarked on his new start up, SnT Global Sdn Bhd, where he currently resides as the Group Chief Executive Officer. SnT’s core businesses are Lead Logistics Management, Warehousing, Transportation and eFulfillment services. Other ventures include Education and Property development.

Under his guidance, SnT has won several major industry awards, and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the field of supply chain BPO in Asia. It was also recognized as a leading technology company in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Program. SnT was recognized by Global Services Awards as one of the top 100 most innovative outsourcing companies in the world as well as top 10 to watch in Asia. In 2016, David was accorded the Outsourcing Leader of the Year by Outsourcing Malaysia.

He had spoken and participated in many local and International conferences including World Congress of IT, ASOCIO Annual Summit and others. He is currently a Board of Trustees of Yayasan Innovasi Malaysia (YIM), International Affairs Chairman of PIKOM, Chairman of ASOCIO AEC Digital Task Force, Digital Advisor of Malaysian Retail Chain Association (MRCA) and Board Member of World IT and Services Alliance (WITSA).

Alex Hee Kam Fatt

Documation Sdn Bhd | Managing Director

Alex Hee has more than 20 years’ of experience in the field of document management solutions and services. After graduating with an Honours degree in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia, he began his technical career with Hong Hong Documents Sdn Bhd, an industry pioneer in outsource data printing and mailing services. He rose to the rank of Manager in charge of electronic publishing using SGML standard before leaving for International Business Solutions, an IBM business partner, heading its Technical Division in charge of production laser printers, providing end-to-end solutions to banks / telcos / print bureaus in running their transactional bill printing using ISIS Papyrus software, IBM continuous & cut-sheet laser printers and IPDS standards, and OMR enveloping machines such as Pitney Bowes, Kern, Bowe and Buhrs. 

He was later recruited by its principal, ISIS Papyrus Asia Pacific, as a Regional Consultant servicing its South-East Asian operations. Finally, after a short stint in Fuji Xerox Singapore, he founded Documation Sdn Bhd in the year 2001. 

Today, Documation is one of the industry leaders in providing outsource data printing and mailing services to Insurance, Stock Broking and Oil & Gas MNCs. It has over the years, grown and evolved its solutions and services to include multi-channel inbound and outbound documents – specializing in paper and electronic documents.

Arun Augustine

Emerio (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd | Managing Director

Arun Augustine is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years of global diversified experience, which includes the 20 years he has been with Emerio.

He has been instrumental in establishing and building Emerio Malaysia's business successfully. He has also been actively involved in Emerio’s global expansion.

His international work experience spans across the IT industry in Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, USA and India.

Prior to Emerio, Arun has served as the Chief Operations Director of Exaband India & ConnectME International, a research based product Development Company in California, USA.

Arun is an Advisor to Happy Bar Nutrition, a 501(c)3 non-profit organisation in the US that provides protein-rich nutrition bars to needy children.

He also sits on the Boards of several companies in Malaysia.

Arun holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences from Trinity College, USA.

Cheang Lai Meng was a graduate in Masters of Finance under University of Wales. He has about 28 years of experience in the Information Technology space. He started off his career in Procter and Gamble (M) Sdn Bhd in the MIS department. Subsequently, he pursue his career in SAP starting from implementation to project management in Price Waterhouse and other consulting firm. Currently, he has been with Sime Darby for 5 years managing the Business Application Services within the IT Shared Services.

Divya Dutta

Divya Dutta, is the country head for Aegis BPO in Malaysia. He is spearheading the cross shoring business model in Malaysia for all Asian Countries. He has an experience of 19 years in Contact Centre Industry. Divya is a dynamic, thoughtful and hands-on leader with articulate perspectives and game-changing strategies, he is managing over 30 global clients based out of Malaysia, Singapore, USA and Australia. He has expertise in driving cross cultural relationships. He has worked closely with a leading international client, contributing 25% to overall business, now negotiating incremental business to the tune of 200%.

Divya started his career with GE Capital, followed by EXL Services, prior to Aegis. Divya’s journey in Aegis began with Aegis acquiring Global Vantage in 2007-08 where he was heading the operations for 2,000 employees doing collections & recoveries for clients across banking, telecom & auto finance sectors, spread across US, UK & Australia. Before spearheading Malaysia, he was heading the operations for one of India’s largest telecom giant spread across 10 different locations in India & Sri Lanka with over 7,000 people. Divya’s contribution has also been a milestone in Aegis’ growth story as he turned around profitability from negative EBITDA to positive double digit figures in under 6 months, post acquisition by driving productivity improvements and managing efficiencies.

Under Divya’s leadership, Aegis has been enhancing customer experience and succeeding in gaining customer confidence with respect to credibility and competence. Aegis has seen growth under his leadership, raising the headcount from 800 to 3,000 in 3 years.

Aegis has been continuously witnessing success and achieving revenue targets, profit and business growth within a rapidly changing environment. Divya effortlessly contributes his time in interacting with employees. He also, introduced employee engagement initiatives for developing a connect with the employees, thus, achieving an ESAT score of > 85% with participation from > 90% resources. Divya’s relentless effort has lead to an expotential growth on top and bottom line. Additionally, Divya is one of the 3 members on the Board of Directors for Aegis entity in Malaysia and is an EXCO member of Outsourcing Malaysia. Jusri Ong

Jusri is a leader who is able to bring together groups of people with different set of talents and make them function as a world class business team.  He has a keen eye for details that enables him to manage an organisation where he is the head of the company.  He is responsible for identifying new markets and developing new service offerings for Telecontinent’s outsourcing business.  He is also the principal consultant where he crafts out innovative outsourcing solutions for the clients.  Throughout his working career, Jusri has been responsible for the deployment of best practice customer management principles.  Very instrumental in leading various taskforces for business process reengineering initiatives.

Jusri is very passionate about his work where he spent the last 11 years learning and perfecting his skills and knowledge in the outsourcing industry.  To this effect, he has received credentials such as a certified COP Master-class graduate, IAOP.  Throughout his career in BPO, he has gain cross industry exposure in domains such as Banking, Telecommunications, Media and High-tech.  He has experience managing both domestic and off-shore contact centres with up to 1,000 seat capacity.

Jusri is a graduate of MMU with a degree in Business Administration (Hons.) Economics with Multimedia and a professional member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

Phan Yoke Hin

Phan Yoke Hin, VP Business Development, HDC Data Centre. Phan has more than 30 years’ experience in the IT industry. He began his professional career as final test engineer in US-Based Integrated Circuits Manufacturing Plant. Phan has also given the opportunity to serve in ICT System Integrated Company providing Mini computers engineering and operating system support services to customers and its junior engineers. Later, he joined Sime Darby Systems and served in various capacity and management positions. In his tenure with Sime Darby Systems he was managing a team of engineers providing nation-wide engineering services and a team of sales staff to constantly exploring new markets to accelerate growth of the company through successfully delivering ICT solutions such as currency verification system, Dealer Board system, X.25 and Frame Relay networking solutions, Silicon Graphic High Computing Computer System, AT & T PABX to many prestige customers in Financial Institutions, Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas Sectors & Others. Before joining HDC, he was hired to build ICT business in automating business processes using integrated Workflow, Data Capture and Document Imaging and Management solutions. 

In HDC, he is chartered to develop and build a sustainable business offering high quality Tier III data centre infrastructure to support continuous operations of business critical applications for both local and international customers. With his experience in formulating the business that is centered in providing data centre infrastructure services on a high reliability, availability and serviceability facilities to meet the demands of today’s most competitive organizations.
